No matter where you are in your journey as a scholar, all EdD, PsyD, and DBA students, faculty, and alumni are strongly encouraged to attend the Symposium.

You could win $100 in bookstore credit!
What could be better than a day of networking, career development, and new knowledge? Winning a prize at the end of the day! You must be present to win one of many fabulous prizes including a $100 credit at the Saint Mary's bookstore.

Doctoral Symposium Poster and Breakout Submissions Due Friday

All doctoral students (on-ground and online) are welcome to submit a proposal for either a 45-minute breakout session presentation or to create a poster for display at the symposium. Further information and directions on submitting your poster or session proposal are within the RSVP form. Poster and breakout session proposals must be submitted by February 1. Not sure if you are ready to present? Contact Dana Hiller or your program director/advisor for more information. Those selected to present a poster or breakout session will be contacted in February.

Highlights of the Day

  • Doctoral Alumni Panel on Community Engagement—Learn from EdD, PsyD, and DBA alumni who are applying research out in their communities
  • Faculty Presentation: From Dissertation to Publication—Presented by Erin Ayala, Ph.D., L.P., Psy.D. Program Core Faculty and Research Coordinator
  • Receive and Provide Feedback at the Research Poster Session—Develop skills in proposal development and data analysis
  • Psy.D. Dissertation Presentations and Ed.D. Dissertation Defense—Experience a culminating project in action
  • Breakout Sessions Highlighting Doctoral Research—Engage with expert scholars and gain new knowledge in areas such as education, healthcare, business and counseling
