Officers for the Saint Mary’s University student chapter of ASCD

Title: Bridging the Gap: Building Connections Between Novice and Veteran Teacher Leaders

Stephanie Schmidt, Regina Bettag, Alex Nuy and Katie Homan served as officers for the Saint Mary’s University student chapter of ASCD from 2016-2017. During their time as officers, they worked on a project entitled, “Bridging the Gap: Building Connections Between Novice and Veteran Teacher Leaders,” that examines the effects of the generation communication gap among teachers, its effects on learning communities, and how to bridge this gap to enhance school culture. The proposal to present their research at the ASCD conference in Boston in March 2018 was accepted, and they will be sharing their findings with teacher leaders from around the world.
